This Cookie Policy explains how Klypse ("Klypse", "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at klypse-uhnw.com (the "Site") and within our logged-in private-markets intelligence application (the "Service").
Klypse is a B2B private-markets intelligence platform serving the ultra-high-net-worth world. This policy describes what these technologies are, the categories we use, the legal bases on which we rely, and how you can manage your choices.
This Cookie Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains in more detail how we handle personal data and your rights in respect of that data. Where cookies collect information that identifies you, or that can be combined with other information to identify you, that information is also "personal data" and is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If there is any conflict between this Cookie Policy and the Privacy Policy on the subject of cookies, this Cookie Policy governs.

2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A "cookie" is a small text file that a website places on your device (computer, tablet or mobile) when you visit it. Cookies allow the website to recognise your device, remember information about your visit and support core functionality. In this policy, references to "cookies" also include similar technologies that store or read information on your device, including those described below.
- Cookies. Small text files stored by your browser and sent back to the server that set them on subsequent requests.
- Local storage and session storage. Mechanisms built into your browser that allow a website or application to store larger amounts of data on your device, for example to hold interface preferences or to keep you signed in during a session. We use these primarily to operate the Service.
- Pixels and similar identifiers. Small files or pieces of code (sometimes called pixels, tags or beacons) that can be used to understand how a page or message is used, for example whether content has loaded. We use these on a limited basis, principally for privacy-respecting analytics.
Cookies and similar technologies can be distinguished in two ways that are relevant to this policy:
- First party versus third party. First-party technologies are set by Klypse under the klypse-uhnw.com domain. Third-party technologies are set by a provider acting on our behalf (for example our analytics provider). We do not permit third-party advertising or cross-site tracking technologies on the Site or in the Service.
- Session versus persistent. Session cookies are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a defined period, or until you delete them, so that we can recognise your device or remember your choices on a later visit.
3. Categories of cookies we use
We group the technologies we use into the following categories. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Strictly necessary cookies
These are essential for the Site and Service to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are typically set in response to actions you take, such as signing in, setting your privacy preferences, or submitting a form. They support functions such as maintaining your session, authenticating you, keeping the Service secure (for example guarding against cross-site request forgery), and balancing load across our servers so that the Service remains available. Without these cookies, parts of the Site or Service cannot be provided.
Strictly necessary cookies do not require your consent, because they are essential to deliver a service you have requested.
Functional and preference cookies
These enable the Site and Service to remember choices you make and to provide enhanced, more personal features, for example remembering your selected theme or other interface preferences. They are not essential to deliver the core Service, so we set them only where you have consented (or where, on the Site, you continue without objecting through a mechanism that we treat as consent for that category).
Analytics and performance cookies
These help us understand how visitors and users interact with the Site and Service, for example which pages are visited and how the Service performs, so that we can measure and improve it. Note: the consent record is treated as strictly necessary because it stores the choices you have made and is required to give effect to them; it is not used to track you.
5. Legal basis
Our use of cookies is governed in the United Kingdom by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), together with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) where cookies involve the processing of personal data.
- Strictly necessary cookies. We rely on the exemption under PECR for cookies that are essential to provide a service you have requested. Where any limited personal data is processed through these cookies (for example to keep the Service secure), we rely on our legitimate interests in operating a secure and reliable Service, and on the necessity of processing to deliver the Service to you.
- Non-essential cookies (functional and analytics). We set these only with your consent under PECR. Where they involve the processing of personal data, consent is also our lawful basis under the UK GDPR.
Consent for non-essential cookies is captured through our consent banner and preference controls on the Site. Consent is requested before non-essential cookies are set, is recorded, and can be withdrawn as easily as it was given.

Blocking analytics cookies does not affect how the Service works for you.
7. Third-party processors
We use a third-party analytics provider that acts as a processor on our behalf, meaning it processes information only on our instructions and for the purposes we set. We have selected a privacy-respecting tool and do not use it for advertising or cross-site tracking.
